How can i reset a lock password in android device manager?

We recently lost our asus nexus 7 2013 model, so i logged into android device manager to lock the device. We have now found the device, but I can't remember the original password and there doesn't appear to be a way to reset it or override it? I've tried to Lock again, but it does not override the original password, and there appears to be no password recovery? Can anyone help?

Hi, that's a difficult one as you locked the device then found it, but don't know the password. Is there anything on ADM that tells you how to remove the block once you find the device?
