Battery draining fast, need help

I have a samsung galaxy s4 which is draining extremely fast.
I have recently read that It could be due to having an sd card connected to the phone, is this really the case/possible?

I have already gone through all the apps and made sure that there is no unneeded drainage.
I have also gone to the Samsung store but they just gave me a new battery and the problem persisted.

Should I:
-get a different sd
-take out the sd
-etc

First, try without the card.

It could be due to a bad SD card, or one that has a file looped on itself. If the drain ends when you have the card out, copy all the files on the card, format the card, then copy all the files back to the card. (A looped file will appear as a corrupted one after that - just delete it when you try to read, play or whatever-it and it does something weird.)
