Why are my texted mms images coming up broken?

When I take a picture with my Galaxy S7 Edge, the image looks just fine. But when I send it to someone in an mms, it is coming up on their phone all broken up. Almost like it is showing fragments of layers. If I could I would submit a screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. I am new to posting in a forum.

It could be the file size. Have you spoken to your carrier about it?
