email issue- unable to connect to server

[AC Question]

My email started playing up yesterday, it wouldn't let me send it receive emails and wasn't syncing. So I tried taking battery out and restarting it etc but still nothing. So I deleted the account and tired to re add it but it just says "unable to connect to server". I have data and WiFi, I have also checked and works logging in online so can't figure it out. Please help???

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone, email app, and email provider? Are you saying that this happens regardless of being on mobile data or wi-fi?
