What & why is 'Removed Apps & Users' biggest Data User on S7?

A

AC Question

1. What is 'RemovedApps&Users'?

2. Why is it the biggest Data User on my S7 @ 1.97GB? All in Background - Foreground zip.

3. What is Foreground/Background?

Closest is Facebook @ 1.5GB.
Everything else is way below .500MB.

Thx!

Welcome to the forums.

1. They refer to apps or users that were removed/uninstalled during the current mobile data cycle.

2. There's no way no know for sure. Did you uninstall any app recently?

3. Foreground. Data used while you are interacting with the app.
Background. Data used while the app is running/syncing/updating on its own in the background.

1. Exactly what it says these are apps/users that you have removed. You will see the MB of removed data
2.Have you removed a lot of users and apps including associated app data.
3. Apps use data all the time.

The data consumed is called background data when the app wasn't being actively used by you. If the app was the active app being displayed on the screen, then the data it consumed will be called foreground data. Once you close the app, any data it consumes will be background data.

Background data consumption is essential, otherwise apps will not be able to send notifications to you unless you are using the app.

Beaten to it:)
