Want to buy two Galaxy S7's - G930U? G930F, G930W? Why one versus the other?

A

AC Question

These will be (mostly) in Canada, on Public Mobile (Telus reseller)

Samsung Canada sells the S930W unlocked - downside, no discount.

Best Buy Canada lists the S7 unlocked, but it is actually coming from jpmobiles.com, and is a G930F - downside, no Canadian warranty.

Samsung US or Best Buy US have the same Black Friday deal, still no Canadian warranty, but a G930U.

I am leaning toward purchase straight from Samsung US, or Best Buy US if Samsung has issues with Cdn Credit cards (couldn't directly enter it on their website)

Any advice/suggestions?

The F doesn't appear to cover bands 13 or 29, the W doesn't cover band 29, and the U doesn't cover band 17, so check with Telus to make sure which bands they're using in your area. (And with no Canadian warranty - if Telus doesn't cover it - even if it's bad out of the box, you have no recourse.)

Well, if you buy on the Samsung US or Best Buy US Black Friday sales, you'll not only save some amount (they are $120 off right now), but you'll get a free wireless charger and VR headset with each phone too.

As for the warranty? Most phones never fail, but even then, couldn't you just pop it into the mail to a repair shop back in the US?
