My Samsung Galaxy S5 gets pretty warm after about 10 minutes of use, just scrolling through Facebook and etc. Checked cooler master and it said my temp was about 36-38 degrees. Is this a normal thing in the S5?

What temp is at 36 -38 degrees? Body temp is about 37 degrees. My Note 4 idles about 35 degrees. Phone feels cool to the touch.

Oh, forgot... FB is CPU intensive from what I've heard.

Welcome to the forums, OP! How old is your device/your device's battery?

My other Note 4 idles 38 degrees CPU temp. It's been sitting all night unused. Again, it's close to body temp so I wouldn't suspect I would feel like the phone has any warmth at all.

These devices have very good passive cooling and I don't worry about it, as monitoring temps over time when I've played some mildly intensive games (Riptide1, 2, and 3), I've seen my phones and tablet go up to around 56 degrees in many of the temp sensors. However, watching the temps in Aida64, they rapidly cool down in a matter of about 25 seconds. Awesome passive cooling!

If your device is only warm (which is 36 - 38 degrees as you've stated), I don't see any problem. Now if it gets too hot to handle and starts throwing up overtemp warnings, then I would start worrying.

Yeah my device is brand new, just got it a few days ago. It doesn't overheat, and it does cool down quickly. Good to hear that there is no problem!

Just checking, is it normal for the phone to heat up above 38 degrees while using it on charge?
