way to take pictures smaller than 2048x1536?

I'm often snapping photos that will never be turned into prints. They are either to show to somebody on-screen and then delete a short time later, or to be e--mailed to somebody else to look at on-screen and then be deleted,
Is there an app that will let me snap screen-size photos at something like 1024x768, 800x600, or at times 640x480?
They are smaller to send, and plenty big enough for the screen, especially a phone or tablet.

The smallest I can figure out how to make is 2048x1536, which makes files 700-900kb, a bit large for sending a series of 6 photos to an account with a 5mb message size limit when you factor in overhead (10%-20% bloat)

Sorry, I thought I was posting in the HTC One forum, and I wasn't logged in. I'm using an HTC One X+ phone.

You should have the option in the camera app itself....

I see three to six sizes available. Three options of "Small" "medium" and "large" with an option for widescreen. The "small" is 2048x1536, and they only get larger.
Hence why I figured I needed some kind of app or mod (to use a computer gaming term) to get the option for smaller sizes.

Changing the resolution of the image is a feature of the camera app.
Sounds like you need to try a different camera app. (Or use a resizing app after you take the picture.)
