This only happens with one specific contact, so perhaps it is on their phone (also Android).

Randomly, there is a @ at the end of the Message text.

It doesn't seem to correlate to text length, image (or lack thereof), or any other readily identifiable trait of the Message.

It does not occur with any other contact/ message and the sender's phone does not show the symbol on their end.

    Ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Is that person using their stock Messaging app, or a 3rd party one?
