why do I lose data service completely.

Hello, I'm new to the note 3 experience and not sure if it's something I'd want to stick to. I have an AT&T note 3 and my data signal always cuts out. Pls help me fix this problem. I've tried wiping the cache partition and it seems to do the trick but then again in a few hours my data signal completely disappears. It tells me to keep my data roaming on to keep my data but then again my signal cuts out. Pls help me before wasting money on a tech to try and fix it.
