Does anyone know why my Samsung Galaxy S6 dies when the battery shows it still has a charge then in order for me to turn it back on I have to plug it in to the charger before I can turn it back on

    The battery may be failing.

Also, does the trouble persist in Safe Mode?

How much percent is left before shutting down?

Also it is bad to run the battery down to zero regularly. That could kill the battery.

The percentage at which the phone shuts off is settable in most phones - mine is set to 38% because I don't want my battery going below 40%, so if I don't catch it, the phone will. (Regularly discharging to 25% will severely impact battery life - discharging to much less than that can kill a new battery in a month.) So check the shutoff point - and check how you use the phone. If you're trying to get down to 0% all the time, you probably already need a new battery.
