Every few months I seem to be running out of storage space on my 16 GB Samsung G5. When I go to move some apps over to the SD card, I find that apps that I had moved there earlier are now back on the SD card. After I move them back to the SD card, I have plenty of room for new apps. Why does this happen and how can I make them stay put?

It's because apps are not designed to be run on sd cards and if they can be moved cannot update properly. There is no workaround, you will have to keep moving them.
