A
AC Question
I've added a standard IMAP account to the stock Gmail app on a Nexus 6P. It works fine other than the fact that each IMAP folder is listed twice. In other words, I have two "Sent" folders, two "Outbox", two of every personal folder I've made, and so on.
If you open the duplicate folders, they show the same content.
I don't suspect a server issue, as this does not happen on any other IMAP client. Apple Mail, Windows 10 Mail, iOS Mail, Thunderbird on Linux/Mac/Windows -- no problem, only one of each folder.
Googling for the problem, I've found a few others having it, but no solutions; usually just a misunderstanding of the problem and vague suggestions about clearing caches and re-adding the account (which I've tried).
So my question is: does anyone know how to fix this, and if not, where can I file a bug that will actually get the attention of the relevant people at Google?
Thanks!
