My Samsung s5 isn't charging with the micro after updating .

I updated my phone and now it's telling me to use the original charging plug only. The battery level at the top right just has an x in it. Before I updated it charged fine. What did I do wrong?

That depends. Did you download a file and use that to update it? Or did the update come over the air?

If the first, you shouldn't have. See [Samsung] How to flash Stock ROM via ODIN and flash the stock ROM. (Make sure it's for your variant of the S5.)

If the second one, bring the phone to your carrier. If they've opted to force a bad ROM into your phone (or opted to allow Samsung to do so), it's the carrier's liability.
