Why did my Galaxy Note 4 go from 1% to 100%? After it wouldn't charge properly...

My phone was out of charge so I put it on the charge. While turned off it showed me that it had 40%. Once I turned it on it was just 1%. I tried a different charger and then the same thing happened. It showed me that it had 21% charge while it was off and charging. Once I turned it on it was just 1%. I removed the battery and then put it back in. I put it again on charge and I swear it went from 1% to 100% immediately. I have no idea why this happened. I'm kind of scared to use my phone because of this...

The phone is around 2 years old. Most likely the battery is already deteriorated. We also have to factor in if the battery was stored properly. Just get a replacement battery.

Just buy one, or order one from Samsung. No need to send the phone.

Yup, try a new battery and see what happens. Are you experiencing any other issues, such as lag, freezing, or anything else like that?
