MY S5 mini had a broken lcd, sent it for replacement got it back, it worked for maybe half day and suddenly the whole lcd would freeze and slowly turn white and black and fade away till solid black and then the phone is dead it wont charge or switch on, sended it back after 3 days worked like a charm, again after a day same problem its almost as if I open to much apps and the phone is using its full potential. I sended it bach again to a friend of mine who has a cellphone shop he said its an IC that overheated and replaced it, the same happened again to him he replaced the ic and plugged it I to a machine that logs faults and the machine said the ic is 100% working but still it overheats the ic and eventually you have to replace it.

My question is: Can it be that the new lcd is maybe faulty that it cause to overheat the ic? If not what the hell can it be?

Samsung store is too expensive here in South Africa to send the phone for repairing so I'm trying to use the cheapest way for repairing.

Any help would be MUCH APRECIATED guys.

You have to weigh the cost of repair against the cost of replacement I guess...
