Issues with streaming music to my car since installing Android 7.0

My Sony Xperia XZ doesn't want to stream music anymore (calls are ok) to my car stereo since the upgrade. I've tried reconnecting and forgetting the device on both sides, but to no avail. Noticed it is possible now to choose in the phone's Bluetooth settings, which kind of audio/data you want to stream (call audio / media audio / contact sharing) and the 1st and 3rd are selected but cannot select the media audio option (not greyed out, just doesn't want to tick the box).

Anyone noticed the same or has a solution?

Same thing is happening to me on my sony xz when I try and pair it with my Volvo.

Works for phone calls, but not for media.

Can anyone help?

I also had the same problem with my Xperia Z5 premium, any solution? It's truly annoying.

Any way to roll back to Marshmallows?!
