Note 7 Root

[AC Question]

I have the Note 7. I'm looking to get it rooted to avoid the update that will make it not charge. Yes, I understand the battery issues and risk of owning the Note 7. Ive been told by a local tech guy that the root programs are shut down for it. I'm not too techy. I wanted another opinion. Anyone know how to keep my Note alive!?
