Galaxy S5 won't stay connected to home wifi

A

AC Question

I'm not on a network and do not have a SIM card. So I solely use WiFi. When I am on my home network (Rogers) it keeps disconnecting, although my phone says it is still connected. I don't have this issue anywhere else. Any idea how I can fix this? I am thinking it is more of a WiFi issue than my phone. Tried resetting my router and no luck.

A couple of quick checks:

Make sure your wifi encryption is AES, not TKIP or TKIP+AES.
Make sure you're not getting interference on the same channel from another router (Wi-Fi Analytics Tool) or from a microwave oven or some other source of interference. (If my microwave is between my phone and my router, the phone disconnects every time the microwave is on. A 0.1 Watt wifi transmitter has a problem competing with a 120 Watt microwave signal at a very close frequency.)

If the phone stays connected to other wifi routers, as you said, it's probably a wifi issue. If it were a phone issue it would disconnect from all of them.
