Brand new to Android, bought a new S6 AT&T branded phone. Not used/refurb.

Every day, sometimes several times per day, AT&T requests that I update the phone. It can only be ignored 1 time, then forces the phone to update. This process takes 30-40 minutes each time, shutting down the phone, downloading the AT&T update, and then "optimizing" all 52 apps on the phone, 80% of which are un removable bloatware.

This kills my battery, and most importantly I am locked out of using my phone for 30+ minutes per day. Driving me nuts. I don't want to root the phone. How are people dealing without the use of their AT&T phones for 30+ minutes per day??

About ready to just ship this thing back to Amazon and get an IPhone. It is literally making my phone unusable. No one else with an Android I've talked to has this issue. Be they on AT&T or another carrier.
