How can I transfer app data from phone to tablet

I have an app called "My Notes" installed on my Galaxy S4. I have the same app on a tablet. I'd like to transfer the My Notes data from the Galaxy phone to my tablet but I can't find the data file using various file explorers. Can anyone help?

App data isn't visible to file explorers and that's not how you transfer data. Is this app something you installed or did it come with the phone? If it did, you could likely use your Samsung account to sync the apps.

The app was downloaded from the Google Play Store.

Says it syncs to Google Drive. Go to settings of the app, log it in to Google Drive. Do the same on your tablet after an hour or so (both should be connected to internet) . After a while, the notes should automatically appear on the tablet. The app also says it has a backup option, so I suggest you make a backup just in case.
