force nexus 5 rooted in enforced mode

A

AC Question

Hi everyone,
I rooted my nexus 5, android 6.0.1, few months ago and the process went alright, I decided after to play around and install few apps that required the mode "enforced" on selinux.
I am not able to set my phone to enforced, I tried everything.
I downloaded an app that was supposed to do it for me, I was selecting the option, I was receiving the notification and then my phone was still in permissive mode.
I tried from the terminal, sudo su and set enforce 1, or set enforce 0 and then go to the file and print the selinux value, but I can't make it change.
I wonder if my phone need a different procedure.
I checked here: www.xda-developers.com/easily-change-your-android-selinux-mode/
and basically in all the first google results page.
Apparently the world has my opposite problem: forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/how-to-set-selinux-to-permissive-boot-t3034245
I didn't even restart the phone, I couldn't make it enforced at all.
Did anyone had the same issue before?
Thanks,
Federica
