Can you use turbo charger with regular charging head?

Hi, have a Moto x pure with the turbocharger and the turbo charging head. I also have an iphone charging head. I've heard that using turbocharging all the time can damage the battery, so I was wondering if I could use the iphone head instead (which I believe only supplies 1 amp, and was what I used to charge my old moto g)

The Moto X Pure Edition shipped with a single piece charger, wall plug and cable are one piece, not wall adapter and USB cable.

You can charge the Moto X with the iPhone's wall charger and micro USB cable.

It won't Turbo Charge.
