Can't transfer files through using MTP

So today I just bought the Asus Zenfone 3 Max, and I am trying to transfer the music via USB. When I first plugged in the device via USB, it asked me "Use USB for file transfer?", which then I said yes, but then it just disconnected. Yes I know there is the Share Link option to do that, and I tried that, but around 30%, it cancelled. I used to use the Moto G 3rd Gen, and transferring music via USB had no troubles, but now there is a complication when using the Zenfone. It doesn't show up in My Computer, but however the Moto G does. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, but it just fails to install. Please help.

I don't know why you would be having this issue, or really how to tell you to fix it. However, if you are just trying to transfer files you could use adb. In my opinion it works better than mtp anyways. Mtp fails alot mid-transfer.
