Samsung S6 black screen, no response

My Samsung s6 has been in for repair. I woke up to it having a black screen and blue led flashing. we tried a reset which only worked once, stuck it on charge and it did same again this time with solid red led on. the guy in Samsung experience store said it was the hardware that was faulty. he sent it off and now I'm told its water damaged. I checked the ldi before I sent it in, as well as it never been dropped in water etc. I haven't treated this phone any different from the others ive had, s3, s3 mini etc. they use carphone warehouse repair centre. I don't believe water damage has caused this I think theyre trying to get out of repairing the hardware or something. any advice is appreciated, thank you

My sister had the same issue with her S5 phone. My best recomendation is take it back to the store and claim warranty if it's still available if not then maybe a screen replacement will be required.
