How Do I Make It So My Screen Doesn't Turn Off When I Close The Case?

I just got a case for my Samsung Galaxy tab A and whenever i bend the cover to the back of the tablet to get the flap out of the way while I'm using it it thinks I've closed the case and my screen goes dark. It's super annoying. I've searched through the settings but can't find where to turn the setting off that makes the screen go dark when the cover closes. I tried googling it but came up with nothing. Please help.

The problem isn't the tablet, its the case. The magnet on the cover is too strong. Not sure what you can do except change the case or cut out the magnet and install a weaker on. There is no setting for this.
