Notifications on Moto Display are gone after MM update?

Moto Display is the feature that allows you to see the time on your Droid Turbo when the screen is powered off by waving your hand over it. It used to be that any notifications for unread texts, emails, Twitter etc. would also flash on the screen. After I updated to Marshmallow a few days ago, these notifications no longer appear. Moto Display only shows the time. I would like to know if there is a way to get these notifications back.
