Welcome to the forums. Where are you seeing those folders, on your gallery or using a file explorer? What's the folder name?

Welcome to Android Central! Chances are that they are images cached by an app or the browser. Ad networks can also do this.

The web browser, in order to show you pictures on a site, downloads them - and if the folder it downloads them to isn't hidden (has a .nomedia file in it), the pictures will show in media apps. You don't have to click on the picture, it just has to show on the site. For instance, if you see a little green Android on this page, it's on your phone or computer.
