I've just moved to the LG G4 after being a BlackBerry and then Samsung user, and I can't find a way to assign separate notification tones to different apps. So whether it's a fb post, messenger notification or text message notification they all sound the same. Surely LG has a way to have different tones? Anyone know how to do it? I've wandered through settings and sound and notifications but it's pretty basic.

Often times the notification sounds and LED light can be controlled in the individual apps.

Welcome to Android Central! I agree with ManiacJoe. Open an app, tap Menu>Settings, and look for an option to change the notification tone. Not all apps will let you do this, though, so in those cases, you're stuck with that apps tones.
