Unable to create a new album in Gallery on Galaxy S7

I go to Gallery and select "more", then "create album", and then I change the name of the default name from "Album 1" to the new name and change the location from "Device" to "SD card" and then click on "create". BUT the new album never shows up in my albums! Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? Thank you in advance for your help!!!

Using your file browser app, did the new folder (album) get created on the SD card?

When you create a new album, you have to put a pic into it. Take one image, select edit... Move to album... Create new album... Name the album and slide the new pic into it...
