    Hi,

I had Google maps open, and had put my phone in my pocket.
I had a few other apps in the background, but not including settings.
I was NOT at home or on any wifi network, I was outdoors on cellular data.

When I returned to my phone, I switched it on, and my home wifi password was in the search box in Google Maps, followed by a space and NM.

My wifi password was not in my clipboard, nor was it in my search history. Search history was off. Settings was not open. The keyboard was not open.
My wifi password is not a place name, or a word.

How could it have possibly got there?
