Why is by battery draining so quickly and phone operating slowly

I have had the phone for two years and it's awesome but this last month it is loosing battery power from lasting a day easily to being dead by lunch time? Any tips? Is it possible to change the battery on this model?
In addition it is slowing down and getting very hot? I have cleared files and have 4gig available in internal storage? Suggestions?

If the battery is 2 years old, then it could be you just need a new battery... to fix the power problem. Or, you might have a rouge app(s) draining your battery for no good reason. What's the battery stats tell you as far as which app is using the most power? As for the overheating... what's getting hot? When does it get hot... all the time? Only when plugged in? 4gb available... out of how much gb? Phones shouldn't run hot, much less very hot, unless something is causing excessive usage... of CPU/GPU, radio usage, or even your battery charging. Whatever the case, it could also be related to your poor battery life.
