Why doesnt my galaxy s5 work without its charger?

A few days ago I was on an app called live.me and during a broadcast my phone randomly shut off so I thought "no big deal" and turned it back on. Well when I went to broadcast on twitter it did the same thing twice. Now my phone won't work without the charger being plugged in. Now it just attempts to start but won't go any further, just stays at the first screen and then shuts off again and will do that non stop until the charger is plugged in. PLEASE HELP

Typical bad battery symptom. Be grateful you have an S5. Battery change in under a minute. Later models are glued shut.
