Want to surf the net on my Samsung Smart TV

Hello,
I own the above TV, model UN40C5000QF. I would like to be able to surf the internet on it but not sure how. The manual is confusing on this; or at least I can't follow it. One thing: this TV model does not seem to have a SmartHub app. All the tips I found on the web to get an internet connection say to use this application SmartHub, but I don't have it. So is there any way else I can connect to Google? I can get a wi-fi connection on the TV, but then I'm stuck.

I will check into all this and get back to you. I do not own a Samsung cellphone, but I do have an eReader (Kobo) which is an Android device, and I can watch videos and surf the Net on it, through my wi-fi. Plus, I found the AllShare app on my TV just now. So will advise.
