Touchscreen not working

[AC Question]

Hi, i have a samsubng galaxy s4 yestrday my kid dropped it, it wasnt a big drop but now the phone opens up i can see the entire screen but there is a white line on the right side of the screen from bottom to top and my touchscreen does not work anymore it will work on the first touch then it freeze any suggestions on how i can maybe fix this myself or do i have to absolutely change the screen

It's difficult to diagnose hardware faults via a forum. Even if you could be sure that the screen needed replacing, the impact may also have done other damage of which you are unaware. Diagnosis by a repairer may be best, even if you do the repair yourself.
