Cant set a lock screen

[AC Question]

Today I was locked out of my phone using my lock screen pattern. It was the one I have been using for the last 6 months. Then when I went to change my locked screen I'd confirm and lock my phone to test the pattern and it would only be the swipe to unlock pattern. Now when I go to change my lock screen option ( from swipe to pattern) it asks to "Confirm PIN" which I haven't set up for the swipe option as I didn't choose it.

If any one has any advice for my Note 4 with 6.0.1 software that would be great
