s planner, why cant i delete single events out of a recurring event loop

[AC Question]

set an event to happen every week on a certain day/time. but one week it is not happening. why cant i just delete a single event from the series? why are my only two options are to delete all in the future or all that have ever happened....this was a feature in past S planner versions...why strip out such a good feature!

What phone and Android version? I still get the 'only this event' option when deleting. I'm using an S7 Edge on 6.0.1, December patch.
