Suitable Tab for driving usb endoscope

[AC Question]

I've got a Samsung Tab A (SM t280) with the app "Webeecam", micro male to USB female OTG cable .I can see that the tab will supply the endoscope as the little LEDs come on but it can't interpret the signal coming in.
I'm looking for advice on how to connect a USB endoscope (bore scope) to a suitable replacement tab if needs be. I'm based in the U.K so have access to tablets available to our market.

I' ve got the same problem on my archos 50 titanium. In the smartphone description it says to support USB host, but does it supports an endoscope camera? Because my endoscope is not detected...
With USB OTG Checker, when I press the "check device OS on USB OTG", a message on a green background displays: "Your device has USB OTG API! You can try to proceed to <Check USB OTG signal> to check for USB OTG Kernel or Driver signal"; but when I test the signal by pressing the "Check USB OTG signal" button, a message on a red background displays:" System not detect USB OTG signal".
Should I root my phone and add patch to my phone?
