Can't start new email, imap.mail.yahoo.com not responding what do I do

Lost out going and incoming email. Deleted my email account. Tried to start back up and I get this. Email server not responding. I'm not real bright when it comes to fixing your Tab E HELP

Using a web browser, go to your Yahoo account at yahoo.com.
Check the security settings to allow "legacy apps".
Check the email app settings to see if you need to give your phone app a special password.

This is all about Yahoo pretending to be more secure after the two hacks they suffered.

ManiacJoe is correct (especially that last sentence ). Yahoo will give you a big warning when you turn off those security settings, but just ignore that if you still want Yahoo mail to come through your stock Email app. Otherwise, you could install Yahoo's own Yahoo Mail app, which will work even if you have that security setting turned on.

Good point about using Yahoo's app. I keep forgetting about that since I don't have it installed.
