How do I get photos off a SIM card onto a chromebook?

I recently got a cannon camera and want to get the photos onto my chromebook computer. I have the SIM card inserted in the computer but what do I do now?

Welcome to Android Central! You mean the SD card (SIM cards are what phones use to connect to a wireless carrier).

Open your Files app, then at the bottom of the left column open the SD card. Select all of your photos, then drag and drop them to the Downloads directory (if you want them only on the Chromebook's local hard drive) or to My Drive (if you want them uploaded to your Google Drive in the cloud).

Assuming you mean an SD card, not SIM card....

Using your computer's file browser, copy the images off the SD card to your hard drive.
