Why does my Samsung Galaxy Grand not want to connect to my laptop

Welcome to Android Central! When you connect via USB, swipe down the notification panel and tap the USB notification. Make sure MTP (or File Transfer) is selected. Then open Windows Explorer on your laptop, look for the device in the list, and open it there.
