Welcome to Android Central! Open your Google Photos app, and at the main photos page, tap the photo you want to get rid of, and tap the garbage can icon. Or you could go to photos.google.com on your desktop browser and delete them there. These deletions should sync with your Gallery app, and the photos should disappear from there as well.
