Moving video from sd card to phone gallery (note 3)

Hi all!!! So, I've found a lot of answers on how to move videos from your gallery to an sd card...but not the other way around. With an sd card reader I am actually able to move a video from the card to the phone, but not able to get it into the gallery. At the same time, I'm able to move pictures from that same sd card into the gallery, but not videos. I know this is backwards of what people try to do but I've gotten pretty efficient with video editing on the phone and the editing program I use only accepts whats in the gallery.

The thing to keep in mind here is that the "gallery" is not a location; it is an app.
Your gallery app, which ever app it is, may or may not be able to read from your SD card.

If your gallery app can read videos, you may need to restart the phone after you copy the video from the SD card to the local storage so that the indexing service gets a kick in the pants.
