How can I boot into Safe Mode in Android 6.0.1

[AC Question]

An article I read said that to boot into Safe Mode I just need to press the power button until "Power Off" appears on the screen. Then I need to long press the "Power Off" botton on the screen until I receive an on screen option to boot into Safe Mode.

But this doesn't seem to work on my Galaxy S2 tablet. Holding down the "Power Off" button just brings up the standard red "Power Off" button, which when pressed powers off my tablet.

What am I doing wrong.

Unfortunately the method varies by device, so you'd have to follow the specific instructions for yours. From what I can see, you're using an S2 Tablet, so here are the instructions form the T-Mobile site (should work on any, I believe)
