How to know what a 'quality' charging cable or OTG cable is.

I have just learned about the Qualcom Quick Charge 3.0 charging technology, and while checking into this, I found advice about shorter charging cables, and purchasing a 'quality' cable could greatly effect charging time and overall charging performance.

To me all these micro and mini to USB charging cables look the same. I have no idea how to go about choosing a 'quality' cable.

Does anyone know how this is achieved?

Trial and error.
I stick with anker and aukey as my main cables and adapters but I use others as well.
