    Is it possible to set the priority of Apps?

    If by "set the priority" you mean adjust the CPU scheduling so that some apps get more CPU time than others, then as an end user of the phone, no, you cannot do that.

    If you are developing an app, there may be ways to adjust your app's priority from inside the app.

    Yes, more cpu time.
    On the old Amiga you had the exec.library in kickstart rom and its SetTaskPri routine. You also could use Forbid and Permit functions to switch between single and multitasking.
    I have installed an Amiga emulator on my phone and it is running a little slow...
    If I keep holding the touch screen while the emulator runs a demo for example, the performance is almost twice as good.
    I wonder why is that by the way?
