Android OS consuming 50gb data in 4-5 days. help!

Wife's phone recently updated to Marshmallow. Since then it has consumed 50gb total data. Data usage shows this to be "android OS" Any thoughts and suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting the phone into Safe Mode and see if the data usage continues like that. In the meantime, contact your carrier and alert them to this problem, to prevent any charges for data overage or throttling.
