"Connection not private" error

A

AC Question

I am trying to search in Chrome on a Nexus 5 with all updates I know of. I started getting a "Your connection is not private" message from Chrome. The same happens when I try to just go to www.google.co.uk or google.com, or google.de. The error is NET:ERR_CERT_WEAK_SIGNATURE_ALGORITHM.
What is the reason and what can I do to fix it?

One thing to try is to disable IPv6. Log into your router's settings from your desktop browser (see the router manual for instructions), and disable it from there. Then see if the problem happens over wi-fi.

Hi again,

This problem seems to be related to my Chrome on the Nexus 5. Only Chrome does it, and so far only when I try to connect to https://www.google.com; there may be other sites, but I have not come upon them.
I installed Firefox from Google Play and it has no problems connecting to the same URL, without any changes to the router. Reinstalling Chrome from Google Play did not help. Any new ideas?

It definitely that your Google Chrome browser is the cause.

There are two options you can do right now:

1. Try to clean all cookies, cached files.
2. Reset Chrome if the method above couldn't help. (type this in the address - chrome://settings/resetProfileSettings)

If both methods couldn't help, then uninstall it and reinstall it. I'm sure it will work.

You can find further information regarding this error in Google. I found this as the 1st result in Google.
