Transferring App files from PC to phone

A

AC Question

Hi all,

I might have made a mistake although I'm hoping someone has an answer as I can't see me being the first.

I copy and pasted everything from my phone to my PC in an attempt to perform a backup. Wiped my phone and now want to get all my apps back. It seems it's not as simple as copy and pasting those files I just "backed up" back from my PC to my phone. Or is it?

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

No, you cannot just copy and paste app files between PC and phone.
What is your phone model? There is usually stock backup function or app on Android phones, with which you can back up and restore files and apps. And you can move the backups to PC as archives.

For now, since you have wiped your phone, it is hard to restore app data, but you can move other files back to your phone and install those apps from play store again. If you lost some important data, you can use recovery tools like iReparo for Android, but root access is needed.
