Can AC get a straight answer from Swype about their update?

The batch of Swype updates beginning in late January have been a huge backward step for this previously excellent Android keyboard. Big issues for many people are no longer able to swipe up to capitalize, and word prediction accuracy has plummeted. Swype has not responded to various support queries and forum requests with any clear explanation as to whether these are bugs or intentional changes. Maybe Android Central could swing their big stick to get some answers from Swype. Then the rest of us can make an informed decision to stay with Swype or move to an alternative. Thanks!
